Mr. Cunningham became a shareholder in the firm in 2001. In addition to being a lawyer, Mr. Cunningham is also a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).
Mr. Cunningham's practice includes drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of contracts including buy-sell agreements and shareholder agreements. He works with business clients to solve tax, real estate and commercial law matters including complex commercial transactions (M&A transactions) and litigation, including shareholder and partnership disputes. Mr. Cunningham counsels business owners on succession planning and creates and implements business succession plans tailored to suit individual needs.
Mr. Cunningham has successfully represented clients before the IRS, US Tax Court, Minnesota Tax Court, and state tax agencies. He counsels clients and executes services associated with estate planning (up to $15 million) and taxes and probate, including preparation of estate tax returns.
