Mr. Seifert was born in Symrna, Tennessee in 1957. He joined the firm as an associate in 1998, becoming a shareholder in 2001.

Mr. Seifert has been practicing almost exclusively in the areas of worker's compensation law, personal injury and general practice since being admitted to the bar in 1983. Mr. Seifert has represented individuals, employers and insurers regarding their rights when someone has been injured on the job. He frequently lectures, writes articles and gives presentations on current issues, claims management, and individual rights regarding worker's compensation law. In the area of personal injury, Mr. Seifert has tried many cases, including obtaining one of the largest verdicts in Central Minnesota history for a personal injury claim. In the area of general practice, he tackles trial work concerning real estate, contracts and consumer rights. Mr. Seifert has offices in St. Cloud and Little Falls.
Mr. Seifert has also taught at a local college since 1999. His classes include Introduction to Law; Business Law; Criminal Law; Criminal Procedure; and International Law. He has also taught courses regarding Political Science including American Government and Politics; International Governments and Social Justice.

Selected Results
Mr. Seifert has handled some of the largest plaintiff cases in Central Minnesota. He represented a Little Falls woman who fell from a zip line, sustaining multiple injuries to her legs, lumbar spine as well as internal injuries. The client was awarded a gross verdict of $4.6 million dollars.

Mr. Seifert represented a woman who was sexually assaulted by a hotel clerk while sleeping in her room, staying at the hotel (a national chain). The case settled after a two-day mediation, terms remain confidential.

Mr. Seifert represented a nine-year-old boy who was sexually molested by his neighbor, obtaining two judgments each in the amount of $1 million.

Mr. Seifert represented a woman who was a passenger in a motor vehicle, whose husband was killed in the accident. He obtained the policy limits for her from the liability carrier, as well as maximum limits for underinsured coverage.

Mr. Seifert represented a young girl who sustained a serious fracture of her left leg, again obtaining the policy limits for liability and underinsured coverage.

When representing minors, Mr. Seifert has always structured the money to protect the long-term interests of the child.

In the area of worker’s compensation, Mr. Seifert has handled over 2000 cases at administrative conferences, settlement conferences, hearings and appeals.

He has set new standards of law with respect to whether a claimant is an employee or independent contractor. He has won cases for necessary means of medical treatment including surgeries, durable medical equipment, massage therapy, and other modalities of treatment.

Mr. Seifert has obtained increased permanent injury compensation, retraining benefits and established general liability for his clients.

In the area of general practice, Mr. Seifert once picked up a file at 12 noon, proceeded to a trial at 1 PM, the trial lasted till 6 PM. Mr. Seifert was successful in establishing a restraining order, easement restrictions, and damages for his client relating to the sale of a property.

Against a large Twin Cities mall, Mr. Seifert obtained a favorable arbitration decision for violation of a lease, getting damages for breach of lease, inexcusable eviction, and lost revenues on behalf of a local jeweler.
