Mary B. Mahler Appointed to Seventh Judicial District Judgeship |

Mary B. Mahler has been appointed by Governor Tim Pawlenty to Seventh Judicial District Judgeship in Stearns County. She fills one of two vacancies left by the recent retirement of judges Paul Widick and Elizabeth Hayden.
Mary will begin work on June 28th and will be sworn in two days later. Like all new judges, she will spend
the first two weeks on the job shadowing judges and getting to know the intricacies of the court system from a judge's perspective. When the orientation, is complete she will begin presiding over cases.
Mary has been an attorney with the Quinlivan and Hughes law firm in St. Cloud since 1998. Previously, she was a solo practitioner in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1995 to 1998, and an associate attorney with the Kirk-Hughes and Lozano law firm in Las Vegas from 1994 to 1995. Mary earned her juris doctoral degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California in 1994, and her bachelor of arts degree with distinction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1991.
