Biography

Ron began his law practice with a small firm in Moose Lake where he immediately began representing clients. After leaving Moose Lake, Ron then worked for firms in St. Cloud and St. Paul before joining the Quinlivan & Hughes team in 1995. He has served as Quinlivan & Hughes’ CEO and CFO and has been involved in a number of the Firm’s key projects.

For over thirty-nine years Ron has been counseling clients on employment, labor and business issues. He has handled employment and business matters for large, medium and small businesses, non-profit organizations and professional firms.  In addition, his experiences include representing the varying legal needs of K-12 and post-secondary educational institutions, and health care entities among a variety of businesses in other industries. Ron also represents employers in negotiations with unions and in the grievance process.

Ron was born and raised in Huron, South Dakota and enjoys pheasant hunting, golf and traveling. He is also a devoted volunteer, having shared his time and talents throughout his career with a variety of local charities, and is the recipient of the Champions of Caring award presented by the United Way of Central Minnesota, and the Ruth Cadwell Volunteer of the Year presented by the St. Cloud Area Family YMCA.
