Areas of Practice

Meet Brian: One of my favorite activities is lifting weights, which helps me stay focused and energized, much like my love for watching Husker football. When I'm not at the gym or cheering for my team, I enjoy playing the drums—a talent I've honed for over 10 years. Musically, I find inspiration in bands like Tool, Four Year Strong, The Story So Far, and August Burns Red, whose powerful sounds motivate me both in life and in work. One of the most memorable places I've visited is Munich, Germany, where I experienced rich history and vibrant culture. A journey closer to home is one that encourages me to continue to grow in my career. My main area of focus is estate planning, where I strive to help others secure their futures. The best advice I've ever received is, “A ship is safe in harbor, but that is not what ships are built for,” a reminder to embrace challenges and step outside of my comfort zone.

About Brian: My experience with the law has afforded me a broad range of opportunities across various legal areas. After my first year of law school, I clerked for a solo practitioner in family law, which provided an excellent introduction to the rewards and challenges of legal practice. The following summer, I interned in trade compliance at Arctic Cat, a powersports company, where I focused on maintaining compliance with Federal Trade Commission regulations, conducting supplier audits, and evaluating company products for a Made-In-USA analysis. During my final year of law school, I served as a legal extern for Mourning Hope Grief Center, where I tackled internal policy issues, employment law matters, and nonprofit law challenges while also serving on the board of directors in a non-voting capacity. In December 2024, I joined Quinlivan & Hughes, primarily supporting the Estate Planning group. Solving problems and helping clients navigate the law gives me immense satisfaction, and I look forward to continuing to grow in this field.
