Quinlivan & Hughes is excited to announce that Jeff Clancy and Paul Darsow recently joined our team of attorneys.

Clancy joins the firm’s Business Practice Group with 10 years of experience working with business clients on all aspects of business matters. He brings to Quinlivan & Hughes a strong business law background with a focus on telecommunication clients. Along with handling business matters, Clancy is able to assist telecommunication clients with both State and FCC regulatory matters. He is committed to taking client service above and beyond expectations.

Clancy’s mergers & acquisitions practice focuses on evaluating and structuring M&A deals with the client’s goals in mind. Jeff has assisted telecommunications companies in the acquisition of both foreign and domestic companies while closely navigating through regulatory compliance. Jeff regularly represents clients in preparing shareholder agreements, asset purchase agreements, and all relevant ancillary documents. He can assist private equity groups, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs in choice of entity, creating wholly owned subsidiaries, organizational documents, buy/sell agreements, manufacturing agreements, and joint ventures.

Clancy is originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He has worked for the Minnesota Vikings, Stinson LLP., served as an adjunct professor at St. Cloud State University, and practiced with his own solo practice. Clancy was appointed to the Minnesota Telecom Alliance Regulatory Committee in 2013 and is a member of the Michigan Football Alumni Association.

Darsow provides added experience to the Q&H Insurance Defense team. He is a seasoned appellate and trial attorney and has more than twenty years’ experience handling matters of varied complexity before state and federal courts in Minnesota and elsewhere. For the past two decades, Darsow has defended numerous companies and individuals involved in personal injury litigation, contract disputes, employment, and medical malpractice cases. His personal injury litigation experience includes product liability, motor vehicle liability, premises liability, and liquor liability.

Prior to joining Q&H, Darsow worked as both an associate attorney and shareholder for a boutique Minneapolis law firm which specialized in the nationwide defense of complex product liability cases for major motor vehicle manufacturers.
