Biography
In my legal practice, I concentrate on professional liability, primarily medical malpractice defense. I'm proud to have been recognized as one of the Minnesota Attorneys of the Year for 2005. With over 150 jury trials under my belt, I've handled a diverse array of cases, from catastrophic personal injury to medical malpractice and everything in between.
My experience spans various medical specialties, including wrongful death, obstetrics, emergency medicine, orthopedics, urological, and family medicine, as well as hospital liability. I also provide representation for healthcare professionals before their respective professional boards, navigating complex legal to secure favorable outcomes for my clients.
Sharing knowledge is paramount to me. That's why I've been a speaker at numerous seminars on general liability, medical negligence, and tort claims. Additionally, I've had the privilege of teaching as an adjunct professor at St. Cloud State University.
Recognition from esteemed organizations such as the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and being selected to the Minnesota "Super Lawyers" since 1999 are milestones I hold dear. Leadership roles within state and national defense organizations, including my tenure as Past-President of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association and service on DRI's Board of Directors, have further enriched my legal journey as a trial attorney.
I've also had the privilege of contributing to the development of defense trial advocacy skills as a faculty member at Stanford University School of Law for the 42nd Annual Trial Academy of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC). This intensive program, renowned for its effectiveness in shaping trial advocates, allowed me to share insights with aspiring legal professionals from across the country. Through it all, my dedication remains unwavering — to provide unparalleled legal representation and uphold the highest standards of excellence in the legal profession.
