Biography

Born in Grand Rapids, MN, in 1951, I've dedicated myself to estate planning since becoming a shareholder in our firm in 1984. My aptness lies in estate planning, probate, and trusts and estates litigation, where I've honed my skills over three decades, representing businesses, individuals, and professionals. I bring this extensive litigation experience to trusts and estate litigation, advocating for fiduciaries and beneficiaries in probate and trust proceedings.

Within my estate planning practice, I employ a comprehensive approach, offering various strategies tailored to each client's needs. From basic plans to intricate structures like marital deduction federal and Minnesota estate tax plan trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and specialized trusts for family gifting purposes, I ensure that every aspect is meticulously crafted. Furthermore, I navigate complex areas such as charitable remainder trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts (GRAT), S corp trust planning, and estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning.

Additionally, I provide guidance on IRA and other retirement account distribution planning, qualified personal residence trusts, and the nuances of antenuptial and postnuptial agreements. My commitment extends to establishing supplemental and special needs trusts to safeguard the financial future of my clients and their loved ones. Trust and estate law isn't merely a profession; it's my passion. I'm dedicated to delivering personalized and effective solutions that address the diverse needs of each client I serve.
